Are any geocachers available to help out with this event? If so, please contact them.

    Dear Wisconsin Geocashing Association,

THANK YOU for all the help you provided at the 2005 Four Lakes Council/Mohawk District February Event. We are planning the February 4th, 2006, WINTERFEST Scout Derby, for the BADGER PRAIRIE PARK(old Dane Co. landfill area) , 1 mile east of VERONA, WI, and would WARMLY welcome your volunteer(s) assistance again! We anticipate a minimum of 225 Boy Scouts/Cub Scouts/etc. plus parents and leadership! With the older Boy Scouts running the events and promoting the younger Cub Scouts becoming members in their Units, it made for a great time in ’05 and I’m sure will again in ’06!

WE INVITE YOU TO JOIN US AND HELP TO TEACH OUR YOUTH YOUR GEOCASHING SKILLS !! We hope to have 14 Event Stations running!

The only pay can be the Thank You’s that will again come forth as you work 1:1 or more to make this a fine wintertime educational/fun outreach! We will also provide a free event patch to each volunteer. To do this, we must know how many volunteers there will be. The event start at 8:30 am and end by 11:30 am. Come prepared for the weather! We will have hot soup served midmorning as you will recall from your visit last February!

Have a fine day! KEEP SMILING! Don’t hesitate to call, write, e-mail me! In case of terrible weather conditions, “we” reserve to cancel. I will be at home the night before, but I will be out at the Park by 7am and I do not have a cell phone.

Who better to help teach Scouts about geocaching than Scouts who geocache. I’ll try to get some of my boys there.

My best memories of this last year (besides the caching of course) was getting to know some of you a lot better. And meeting the scouts too. Oh – and that Alan brought lots of donuts! (I’m afraid I didn’t go anywhere near that soup tho…..)

I believe we can provide some assistance, we are only one town over so it will be very close for us to help.
