Will it snow this Saturday? Snow or no snow, the Waukesha Winter JanBoree will still be held! Check out GCR89G.
There currently are 15 downtown geocaches plus 10 historical geocaches in the works.
If you have not been to Waukesha, between The Tapps and the Waukesha Wizards, there are geocaches in just about every City of Waukesha Park. (Park admission stickers are needed for the COUNTY parks, not CITY parks.)
You are invited to come and make a weekend of it between the geocaching plus the Winter JanBoree events! Check out the weblink to the JanBoree page to see the many other non-geocaching events you and your family can take part in.

Renee01/16/2006 at 9:09 pm #1738544Accuweather indicates mid-30’s and only “possible” snow … I suspect we’ll have better driving weather this year … I guess we’ll actually see some people that are NOT geocaching this time around.
Boy, we’re a crazy bunch!
01/17/2006 at 7:43 pm #1738545Hey Renee – what time does the event end? Just was wondering, not that our team is of the “til the cows come home” variety. Last year the snow melt our handout, so we left when we couldn’t read it any more 🙂
01/17/2006 at 7:59 pm #1738546Sure,
Morning Check in between 8:00-10:30 AM at the Rec building.. Afternoon check in at the Meet & Greet T-Rex Pizza location between 12:00-2:00 PM. (We need the break between to change venues.) Coords are on the event page.As of this afternoon, there are 17 hides in the downtown area + 10 historical. I should have final approval on the cache sheets on Wednesday/Thursday at the latest and I hope to be able to release them at that time for your planning purposes.
There are a few bonus hides in the works and that sheet will be handed out at the check in times – hint, a camera will be needed to complete at least one.
If you have not done so, be sure to download the Waukesha area caches .. our event hides will take you by several. Cache maintenance is being done on them and a replacement set out for one that is missing.
01/17/2006 at 8:02 pm #1738547For the “not so early risers” and if we do indeed get dumped on with snow like last year ..
The 10 cache historical tour was planned that it could be done any time on Saturday or Sunday.
The 17 downtown hides will close at 4 PM on Saturday.
