The profile page look has just been changed on the GC website! Most notable is that they seperated the Users geocache finds on one tab (Geocaches) and TBs and Coins on another (Collectibles).
I like the revised look, but not sure what I think of the term “Collectibles”! If TBs and Coins went missing before, now that they’re collectibles, it will get worse!
01/17/2006 at 10:40 pm #1738578Opps, now they’ve “tweaked” the look of the cache pages, to match. I like the boxes they’ve put things in on the right.
01/17/2006 at 10:55 pm #1738579Oh, oh … cool!
If a log entry for a cache includes a photo, instead of clicking on the link … you can “hover” over the photo icon and the photo opens on the page. I like that big time!01/17/2006 at 11:49 pm #1738580Trackables is the term. It looks like a very mild tweek that I might not have noticed for a while. I like the decryption of the hint does not require the page to reload now. That will mess with Marc_54140’s mind when it comes to his Members only cache statistics.

01/17/2006 at 11:55 pm #1738581Very cool! I was playing with some stuff on the site too. I like the text. I always felt like someone was “yelling” at me when I looked at the pages before. Now it’s more like a friendly little place to be. LOL!

Trackables is the term.Just so you know that I’m not nuts … it DID say “Collectables” when I posted my original message yesterday … but I see since then the have changed it to “Trackables”. They must have had the same thought that I did.
I suspect that all these changes were “released” yesterday … as I happened to be in the GC screens yesterday afternoon and everything looked the “old way”, then 20 minutes later then changes started to appear one at a time has a switched screens and/or refreshed.
01/18/2006 at 4:57 pm #1738583here’s a link to GC’s info on the changes … http://forums.groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=120257
Looks like the TB/Coin tab must have went through a couple quick “changes of mind” … as in the above link he calls the tab “Collections”, but I saw it as “Collectables” and now it’s “Trackables”.

Ron, I believed you without you having to add the link.
01/18/2006 at 8:42 pm #1738585After wondering why people were seeing things I wasn’t, I found out that I had to hold down the shift key and hit refresh to make all the new baubles appear. It all looks nice!

01/19/2006 at 1:10 am #1738587Just noticed too, that there are Maintenance Needed and Owner Maintenance log categories now. I’ve got a little geen cross on my cache page for replacing the log. Nice feature that I’ll be using.
01/19/2006 at 2:39 am #1738588now if only they could make the server faster. there are days when it just doesn’t pay to try to log on.
01/19/2006 at 11:26 pm #1738589Has anyone experienced problems with Firefox and the new tabs located on the top of the profile pages. I currently see three blue tabs at the top. The tab that I am on is showing up as white. There is no text showing up on the tabs i.e. Profile, Geocaches, Trackables, Gallery. I tried to refresh and no change.
When I open it up in IE (ugh) I see four tabs that are blue, including the tab that I am on. Here the text also appears.
I could swear this worked yesterday or even earlier today in Firefox, but now it seems to not work.
I briefly jumped into the gc.com forums but I have yet to post my observation there. There is a post mentioning that they made some additonal tweaks to support alternative browsers. Maybe the messed something up?
Anyone else see what I am talking about?

01/20/2006 at 12:27 am #1738591I’m running Mozilla and have the same issue with the tabs.
