So MATC (Fort Atkinson) called me today. I am going to be teaching a class on geocaching! It will be this fall.

    Should be interesting.

Like you don’t have anything else to do! LOL

Sounds like fun. Will it be one of those one day things?

It’s actually going to be a 2-day class: classroom with the basics and such, and then the next session will be “field trip” day.

I’ve got 6 months to prepare, so it should be no problem.

I have a file of my handout from my class If you want to take a look at it and I think AuntieNae has a PowerPoint presentation. Let me know if I can help ya out.

Thanks! Would love to take a look, as long as neither of you mind me stealing some ideas!!

Also would love to get photos from everyone — neat cache hide spoiler pictures, or any great geocaching photos you have. I’m going the full audio-visual route with this thing!!

LOL …..Not stealing ideas!! I know there was talk at the tail end of last year of putting an area on the WGA for just such purpose. That way, for those of us who offer classes, would have STUFF readily available and/or persons to contact.

Drop AnutieNae a note and see what all she has too!!

I have a few overhead transparencies and notes I used in a class I taught at GTC last year. I can snail-mail them to you if you think you might find them useful.

They rather enjoyed the cache I hid for the class, as it was full of M&M’s, Snickers Bars, and copies of Bret’s geocaching brochure. Naturally they learned not to expect edibles in regular caches too.
