From the Fox 6 website in the Caching With Condella section:
Watch for the New Fox 6 Geocache
Jim Hyatt of the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center is preparing to hide the new Fox 6 geocache. It will be in place on Friday, May 5, 2006. Watch this web site for location coordinates and hints. And don’t forget to watch Vince Condella’s “Caching with Condella” segment on Thursday, May 4 during the Fox 6 News at 9. Vince will have more information about the cache as well as a story about a Milwaukee-area math and social studies teacher who is using geocaching to teach his students.
Vince Condella came to our school today to do his next geocaching feature story. It will air on the Fox 6 News at 9pm on Thurs., May 4th as part of his new Caching With Condella series. The kids and I had a blast with him. His story will focus on using GPS units, geocaching, and travel bugs in education. We took Vince and his camera guy to our school’s nature pod to find one of our school’s mystery/puzzle caches. Good thing we checked Mr. Condella’s work before we headed out as he had a small mistake on his work, but it would’ve put him who knows where? Near the cache, we put the “finder’s tree” in effect to give everyone a chance to find the cache. A few of the kids and Vince were stumped at first, but eventually found it.We also released a travel bug in honor of Vince Condella called the FOX 6 Weather Bug. It’s mission is to have geocachers take photos of beautiful scenery and landscapes near caches and post them on the travel bug’s web page. Hopefully Mr. Condella can use some of the photos as future “featured photos” on his weather segments.
All in all, we had a great time and can’t wait to see the story on the news tomorrow night.

Thanks for sharing this information Mike; I look forward to seeing the segment!

The only thing that suprises me is that Vince doesn’t really let on more as to how much caching he’s doing. He’s been doing a fair amount of caching, including finding 3 or 4 of mine, plus using one of mine as his favorite place to drop TBs when he’s out with the geo-dog.
Maybe it’s professionalism or something, but he doesn’t seem to comment on his own personal experiences, considering his high level of interest.
05/06/2006 at 2:18 pm #1738987It’s nice that Geocaching is getting this amount of air time and GOOD publicity that Fox6 is providing. Here is a copy of Vince’s note to us, and our reply.
Dear Vince,
Thank you so much for all you are doing to promote the Geocaching hobby/sport!
We had a great time finding the Fox6 caches and we are thrilled that you will be showing our photo again. Stephanie has been telling all her friends to watch your weather forecast.
On May 1st, after you featured our photo the first time, our phone wouldn’t stop ringing. Apparently we have lots of friends and family that watch Fox 6, and now they all want to know more about Geocaching! Please share our thanks with Jim Hyatt at the Schlitz Audubon Center for helping place these caches, and thanks to all the staff at Fox 6 for all you’ve done!-The Sager family
