Anyone have insight into changing a Garmin serial port connection to USB? I’m thinking a stumbling block would be the EasyGPS and Mapsource software, but thought I’d ask.

I’ve heard that there have been some problems with the Keyspan adaptors and that a lot of people have been using IOGEAR adaptor(http://www.iogear.com/products/product.php?Item=GUC232A) with much better success. Appears to be something with the Keyspan drivers or something. Haven’t tried it yet myself, but will have to face up to the situation soon when I get my MAC up and rolling with VPC.GLSailor
Well it looks like I got things running. I bought a Belkin PDA serial to USB adapter and once I downloaded the Windows XP driver off the website, it seems to be uploading and downloading at what appears to be the same speed as the direct to serial port connection. I bought this off of eBay and saved about 50% from what CompUSA wants. Also have a USB hub coming as I’ve got four USB plugs using two outlets.
Oh yes, Easy GPS and Mapsource both work with it.
