This is probably a dumb question. But, how do I send my waypoints from Cachemate to my Garmin Venture?
I have all my caches in Cachemate, and I have the correct cable from my Sony Clie to my Garmin. I just can’t find the function to send the waypoints there?
Anyone? TIA.
Since no one else replied—
I don’t use cachemate so I’m only guessing when I say that I believe it is similar in function to the other programs available. As far as I know, cachemate is designed for storing and reading cache pages, not for uploading waypoints to a GPSr.
I upload all the waypoints for the area I am headed into my gps using GSAK or EasyGPS on my home pc or laptop. I store the cache pages on my Palm, so that I can read the pages when I get there.
If I’m going on a road trip that spans a greater distance, I take my laptop along- pre-loaded with a separate GPX file for each block of area I intend to travel. (I divide WI into 4 blocks of area).
Not the info you were looking for, but maybe you will find it useful. 8)
