Has anyone else attempted to find the Hotel 8.5 and Spa in Waukesha?

It’s a new multi-cache that came out last week and there have been nothing but no finds so far. It’s seems that others can’t find the first waypoint. The GPS reception is terrible and the worst so far has been the mosquitos.

I have been e-mailing the cache owner for additional hints and I’m still coming up empty. The cache page has a hint listed now, so at least you should know which part of the trail to concentrate on.

I’ve attempted to find it three times now. I ran into Pharmteam this morning so all three of us were looking for it and we still came up empty. Here’s what I collected so far as far as hints:
*not far off the trail, you might be able to see it from the trail
*marker is at least hand size
    *it’s not a tag on a tree
*it’s a special marker, you’ll know it when you see it
*”or ask the local bugs…” in the cache description seems to be the emphasis.
*The photo on the cache page does not seem to be any type of clue.

    Any assistance would be appreciated.

I too have tried to find this cache with NO LUCK. I tried on Saturday in the afternoon with my daughter, and were driven from there by the bugs (mosquitoes in this case). I went back alone, with the high-test bug spray on, and couldn’t get a reading to be consistent on one side of the trail or the other. I haven’t been back since the getting some extra hints, but I know I covered the area that the hints point to quite well. Just must’ve missed it!

After having more no finds for this cache I decided to put the cache to a test. My wife and both kids had no idea where the cache was so I sent them on the bug hunt armed with two cans of bug spray and two gps. While they were looking for the first waypoint, Parkview came looking for the cache. As I watched both teams working to find the waypoint, I took up a seat on the ground. Parkview worked the area like a pro and in about fifteen to twenty minutes I heard “found it”. So Parkview and the Waukesha Wizards test team went on to the second point.
This one took much longer to find. As I sat back and watched both teams began to search and search. I checked the location from the marker and it seemed to be off a bit and so I am going to change the tag on Wednesday morning. After what seemed like forever, part of the Wizards found the second marker. This is why there is a new hint for two, both Parkview And the Wizard test team agreed that this one needs another clue.
The third point is the easiest of the three because you are looking for a box. Good Luck to all!!! Great job Parkview!!!
It can be found, even though your gps will really jump around, take your time and work the area slowly. Remember lots of bug spray also.

It has been over a month and a half and only Parkview has found this one. It was not ment to be this hard, but the tree cover makes it tough. I have uped the rating to a five. You are looking for a butterfly that is hand size or bigger. It is made of brass and can even be seen from the trail. If you need more hints let me know. I am going to have to switch some more bugs it this cache. In the winter the rating will go down to a 1 because the ground cover will have died off (hint,Hint)

After several trips, I finally can claim this one as a find. I wasn’t going to do this one by myself again, so I brought a few others to join in on the search party. All waypoints are there, however the first marker may be off by 90-100 ft. according to your GPS.
