Are any of you aware of some OTHER website, that has a simple screen where you enter the text for your found-it log entry, then you can enter the waypoint names of one or more geocaches … then when you hit “go” I guess it creates that log entry in those various caches?
Unless I’m hitting early mental retirement I seemed to remember reading of such a site … yet I can’t find it by searching the archives of WGA or GC. Maybe this was just another dream I had, since jthorson isn’t even aware of it being out there.
(I’m prone to posting “individualized” log entries, because I’m long winded. But with my “living in the sticks” 26.6 connection speed and no availability of DSL or cable; I’m hoping this “tool” would be a time saving procedure when I’m feeling low in logging patience.)

the 2nd one was the one I remembered.
but that 1st one is cool … I like the speed and search methods … it almost feels a bit like using Plucker on a Palm (regarding the results on screen).your ‘da best!

05/04/2005 at 2:50 am #1740499I am going to try http://boulter.com/geocaching/express/ with CacheMate tonight. Marc_54140 and I had a 43 cache day and I would like to see how well it works.
05/04/2005 at 4:40 am #1740500It works OK I guess. Very manual, but you get the chance to edit every log to taste. I like how easy it is to keep track of caches and times using CacheMate.
05/04/2005 at 12:43 pm #1740501FYI, for those that use Palm, Cachemate, and GSAK…..There is a new feature in GSAK that will allow the ‘copying’ of the palm cachemate file into GSAK, then use the somewhat instant logging deature.
Give it a try.05/05/2005 at 12:37 am #1740502I did the CacheMate export, but couldn’t find a file that Geocaching Express Logger seemed to like. I did find that by opening my Palm Desktop for CLIE’, that I was able to copy the memo log and paste to the Express Logger web page.
About the only real advantage that I found with the Express Logger web page was that I didn’t have to search for all of the caches that I did. They were all in the order that I did them and had a time stamp for each one too. I was able to put a generic prefix before the log and a generic note after the log and edit the meat and potatos of each log itself. It turned out much more personalized than I expected.
Now I have to figure out the GSAK import type feature that Randy is talking about. I did use the GSAK export to CacheMate feature with ease! Gotta love that GSAK!
