    CONTAINS SPOILER INFORMATION!!

The boys and I didn’t even find waypoint one with the hint. I’m not very good at finding this type of cache, but after 2-1/2 hours and a lot of trampled vegetation, you’d think we’d have found something. (If Torque didn’t find it, it can’t be near the ground, so I looked up, too.) Mole is good at these, but is pretty booked as of late.

Would someone provide a hint? We did find the path that chip5251 mentioned in his log, and found the fallen tree fort (on both sides of the path were the GPSR said the cache location should approximately be). After settling, the GPS said the cache should be East of the tree fort’s green tarp by about 8′, and North of the trail by 4′ to 25′ depending on the reception, which makes me guess 4′ after reading the logs, maybe 10′. I also checked the back sides of trees, which would protect the tag from mugglers. I checked a 40′ East/West swath on the South side of the trail to the freeway fence, and North of the trail to the lot lines, since the GPS was having North-South reception issues when we first started. I figure it must be a simple (or clever) geocaching detail that I’m missing, having only found 40 or so caches, not having the experience most people here do. Help!

Not sure if this is helpful, but I did this cache on New Years day..there was no snow on the ground, but no leaves on the trees either. You’re looking for a plastic green tag (mentioned in the hints) suspended from a branch, which with full foliage would be a bit difficult to spot. I found bits and pieces of a trail throughout, and I think that at this time of the year through summer, that may be harder to see as well. If you need more help, click on my user name where I logged my find for that cache. Good luck.
