Ok I have grabed a travel bug and I am looking to place it in another cache. The problem I am having is that placing a bug is not an option in the log book of the bug. Am I missing something? HELP?
To place a bug in a cache, you must post a found it log or note from the cache page (not the bug page). On the “Post a New Log” page, there will be a list of the bugs in your inventory. Click on the one you want to put in the cache, then hit “Submit log entry” to put it in. If you have already done a found it log for that cache, just post a note saying you are dropping a bug.
Did that answer your question?

Yes, what the previous poster said is correct.
In summary, you only need the tag number to “Take” the Travel Bug, then you “Drop” the Travel Bug by making a log entry in the cache you left it (the TB should be visible for selection just left of the Submit button at the bottom of the log entry screen).
An added tip … What do you do if you already have logged a find to that cache, since you don’t want to log finding it twice? Simply make another log entry BUT make it a “Write Note” rather than a “Found It” … just click on the TB from that entry. Some people then delete the notes later, which still leaves the TBs dropped.
Thank-you all. I did not know that I can to log a note or a find to place a bug. I will have to try that and see what happens.
