Have any of you tried “Natrapel” Insect Repellent? And does it really work?
(It’s a DEET Free product)
(I tried some other product last year with Citronella in it and it was junk)
Generally anything that does not contain DEET is junk, sorry to say. Though, I don’t have any info on that product specifically.
i just read a review in consumer reports. they are saying it works as well as the 10% deet products they tested against. it cost a little more, but smelled and felt better. i’d try it but i just bought a giant can of 29% deet stuff, mostly for ticks. i hate ticks. after pulling one off my stomach a couple of weeks ago, my caching has been cut way back.
FYI or for what it’s worth, I picked up a few “BugBands” from one of our sproting goods places. I used it on the Three Legged Dog cache that takes you through swamp, stagnet pools, and all after a storm so my partner was getting eaten alive. My Bugband on, not bad at all. Contains Gerinol. Worth the 3.50 IMHO.
