Are there any waterfall caches in the central/southeaster WI area?
I have been talking with a Canadian geocacher who is currently working in Madison. She loves waterfalls & would like to find some around her.
TIA!

BecYou just happened to catch me while I was working on my Traveller’s Caches along I-94 list, and, surprisingly, there is one within 1 mile of an interstate exit. It is
52-Pickup – WWF #14 (Ni-ho-kha-wa-ne-ey-ja Falls)
I was very surprised to find this one when I ran my filter. This one is right in the heart of Black River Falls. Have them take exit 115 (Hwys 12 and 27) and proceed south towards the city (village?). Obviously it is by the river.

Both are a little bit of a haul from Madison, but I think those might be the closest waterfalls.
I appreciate the help!!

03/25/2006 at 1:31 am #1741843That was a great one cachew. I vididly remember the day we completed that one. Snow and all! That was back in my young geocachin days!
03/27/2006 at 7:06 pm #1741844Not sure if it helps, but you could check out Lil Otter’s profile. She still has a bunch of waterfall caches: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/nearest.aspx?u=The+Lil+Otter
03/27/2006 at 7:23 pm #1741845Thanks for all the help. She has been thinking of attending my event, and wanted to know if there were any waterfalls around Madison or Fort Atkinson. Looks like all the good waterfalls are more north (you lucky people!)

04/09/2006 at 11:17 am #1741846Nice little park. All the amenities. Pond, trees, hill, bridge, two boys fishing, girl, dog, cheese sandwich, cache, waterfall. What more could a nice American boy want.

Canadian visitor has returned home, but we can certainly keep this thread going if folks find it helpful!
