We need help!
The WGA annual picnic is coming up very rapidly and we need help getting door prizes. If you would like to make a donation, great! Better still, how about your employers? Or the merchant’s that you patronize? Ask around and see if you can’t come up with some items that would make cool prizes for your fellow cachers. Post your results here. Thanks from all of us. 07/24/2003 at 11:27 pm #1741906Hey guys, there was nothing on our screen after you wrote what you had so far……
Hotdogs Off Trail will donate a nice Outdoor Bar-b-que kitchen set (knives, cutting board, etc) in a case and a nice LED flashlight for door prizes. Anyone else?
07/25/2003 at 1:18 am #1741907Hey Hotdogs! Thanks!!!
I’ll be donating a few useful items along with my Magellan cap I won at the treasure hunt in Illinois, assuming it arrives in time for the picnic.

Lil Otter, didn’t you mention…?
Priebe’s Pride…?
07/25/2003 at 2:37 am #1741909We’ll come to the aid of the Beast and the picnic…we’ve got an ammo can fully stocked and ready to go we can donate. We’re also going to go pick up a few compasses to contribute. We’d be happy to give more if there are any reasonable suggestions!

I’ll put up whatever of Otter’s I find on the trail…
Seriously though, I’ll donate something, but I’m not sure what yet. Might be a ready-to-hide ammo can…

I already gave Grousetales a battery charger w/4 recharge AA’s for this event when I was at the campout.. and I am yet trying to be creative and actually build something with my own lil otter hands (grins)

07/29/2003 at 4:51 am #1741912As I have mentioned several times recently, I am planning on donating a U.S. Flag kit. 3 x 5 with embroidered stars and an eagle on top. I am checking to see what else I can acquire before then.
07/30/2003 at 2:30 am #1741913I will offer a few mosquito netting face shields. These can be real helpful when filling out a log in a swarm!
~Cachew07/30/2003 at 7:09 am #1741914I’ll donate a LED headlamp and some Platypus water bottles as door prizes.
Ray, you might want to contact TopoGrafix to see if they’ll give us a license to ExpertGPS to give away like they did last year. Be sure to mention that we use ExpertGPS to create custom maps showing the temporary caches and to download waypoints to participants’ GPSRs. (CacheCows would know more about who they contacted to get the license last year.)
07/30/2003 at 12:39 pm #1741915active2gether will donate some camping items — not sure what yet but we’ll get some.

T&tb for WGA.I’ve asked the local Erehwon Mtn. Outfitters here in Madison to donate something. The store manager will have to talk to corporate to see if they can toss in a few things.
08/06/2003 at 5:45 am #1741917I’ll be bringing some goodies for door prizes again.
I’m also waiting to hear from Sherper’s as to what they are willing to contribute to the cause. I should be hearing from them by Saturday. We may have to put up a little Sherper’s banner at the picnic but that’s a small price to pay, right?08/07/2003 at 3:05 am #1741918I did get a few holiday flags that I am willing to donate.
