On the way home from a great event, the two new cachers I had with me had, what I think, was a great suggestion… how about a display of what the containers look like? Every time we were approaching a cache, they would ask what they were looking for. It’s easy enough to tell them what an ammo box looks like, but it’s another think to describe a decon container. I know this seems like it would be simple enough, but so far the only caches I have taken them to have been virtuals and ammo boxes since those are easier to find while breaking in a new GPSr and learning the ins and outs of the game.

    Just a thought.

There was a sample of a decon container at the Saturday registration table. I guess we need to make it more obvious.

The key word here is was.

I borrowed for night caching on Saturday. I like the idea, though. We’ll try to throw something together next time.

    Thanks!
