Wow, that wind was bitter today! I heard minus ten wind chill in Madison. So today I pick to do some caches requiring pen and paper. Bad choice!

You’ve got that right Steve… I did four caches today and the wind was terrible. 20 mph winds and -3 degree wind chill at 10am when I left. I found some heat packs in the first cache (a major score), which kept my hands from becoming a solid blocks of ice when I wrote in the log books. Also, the pen was frozen in the last two caches I found…

Steve – thanks for doing one of my caches in Madison today. I did the Cold War Legacy cache at Devil’s Lake today: a nice long walk – but there were so many trees that the wind was not a factor. (But it was plenty cold without the wind.) I recommend this new cache. I like the idea of carrying some of those hand warmers. My dog had a blast, of course.

Man was it cold today. We have saved Lord of the Caches – The Trilogy for a winter cache and went for it today. The open fields of the swamp let the wind hit unimpeded. If the wind was at our backs going to the cache, we dreaded the walk back, into the wind. Gas station cocoa was the drink of the day.

		More power to you guys!
Trudy & I would have been out there with you today, but our printer chose this week to die. [Enough… I can actually hear you groaning].
See you all at the meeting Tuesday.
