I just returned from a trip to Washington DC. Geocaching is not hard out there, there is a virtual at almost every historic location or monument. Arlington National Cemetery alone had six VC’s within its grounds.
I also notice their ratings are different than in Wisconsin. I would say overrated actually. They label a gradual walk in the woods on a level trail 3.5 to 4. We would consider the same maybe a 2. Any of the Kettle Morraine rollercoaster trails would probably have them changing the ratings to 10 stars!
What they consider a 3.5 star difficulty, such as a ammo can buried under a pile of sticks, us Wisconsinites would laugh and label an easy 1.5 or 2. Something like the infamous “Scarab” would just blow them away!
