I had spoken with her a short time earlier Sunday evening at the Sunburst ski area where my high school daughter and I were participating in the RaceForeSight fundraiser, for which Niki was working as a volunteer. She was in my son’s class at Cedarburg and they were friends. Niki’s family lives just about a mile from us and the accident happened between our homes. She was an amazing young woman.
