It seems that multi caches are becoming the norm these days. Multi’s are becoming longer and more complicated.
When reviewing caches, each and every stage needs to be reviewed and must comply all the guidelines. It takes the approvers a long time to review these complicated multi caches. We need to plot each one out on a map to see if it’s too close to area caches.
When a cacher asks about placing a multi-cache, I suggest they can help by creating a .loc file of all the stages. To do this, use EasyGPS which is a free program you can find on the GC.com.
By entering your own waypoints on EasyGPS, saving them as a .loc file and emailing them to the approver, you can knock days off the approval process.
The reviewers will often times review the easiest caches first to get them out of the queue. After that we work on the more complicated caches. Complicated caches can take several hours or days to review/approve. Sending us a .loc file of of all the stages GREATLY speeds up the process. It saves us a lot of work, and gets your cache approved faster.
By taking a little extra time to email such information, it takes a lot of work load off the VOLUNTEER reviewers
