      So there was a 4.5 mag earthquake at about 1 am this morning- epicenter near Ottawa, IL. I just read this on my earthlink news…The article had a guy in Delafield saying he felt it. Anyone here get woken up?

          Both my wife and I woke up at the same time last night. We both thought it was a plane or train. We didn’t realise until this morning what we had heard/felt. We are in Madison.

            Wow- I’ve never been in an earthquake (well, one little one in Flagstaff when I lived there but it was small and during the night- I slept through it).

            There was a bigger one in Alaska at about the same time this morning.

            I never get to be in any good natural events. Even all the tornadoes here last Friday night- I was in Oshkosh and missed out on everything around Appleton. So I’ve never seen a tornado either…

              Woke to hear my dog growl like there was someone in the room.He has never done that.Thought it was wierd at the time…

              It was the same time as the quake…

                I was up and at the computer, and certainly felt it. It sounded like something fell in the garage….then the windows shook. Strange, but I knew right away what it was.

                  I’m pretty sure I was still awake at that time, but didn’t seem to notice it here in Fort. Although, the dogs and I all woke up for some unknown reason around 4am….aftershock? (doubt it.)

                    I was on the computer as well during that time and I remember something falling off the book shelf wall behind me and it scared the _ _ _ _ out of me. Now I have an explanation. Thanks! Tami

                      It’s funny but my 6yr old was just asking if we get volcanos or earthquakes here. He was somewhat disappointed at my answer of no. If lava starts flowing down my street, I’m gonna look like a real dunce.

                      I too, was at the computer and felt nothing. Now I kinda feel left out of the experience.

                        I was working on a project at the computer. I thought Geoff fell out of bed but he was still snoring so it wasn’t him. I didn’t find out until the next day what had happened. It was the second earthquake I’ve been in.

                          Just an observation….notice how many of us were at the computer at 1 AM?
