I wish that there were an Urban cache designation that could be given to a cache. Lately we’ve been wanting to do more and more urban caches because they tend to be interesting. (and require less bushwacking hehe)

It’d be great to be able to filter them in a pocket query

Just some wishful thinking as i’m stuck on a client site doing some work that’s taking a lot longer than expected… heheh The live in IT..

I’ve actually been writing something that will allow me to keep a database of ALL Wisconsin caches. I also had a similar thought….adding new types of classifications to as many caches as possible, so you could do other types of queries for WI caches…like “Find me all 1/1 caches within X miles of my house” or “Find me all caches that have been ever nominated for cache of the month”, etc. Could also add an “requires no bushwacking” setting, which could be searched on as well.

Could you add a designation for Family friendly? (Playground nearby, rest rooms, easy terrain, easy find)

Would be nice to have secondary indicators like that and others. Regarding what you are look for, do check out our Port Puzzle (GCK6YC)sometime, it’s all what you ask for above. Plus there are other caches surrounding it that are very close to bushless and semi-urban.

Cacheseeker, be sure to post your idea on the geocaching.com discussion board. Many of us have requests for a check-off list better describing the cache environment. For example, I like to know if my caching companion, Kanook, is welcomed or not.

Until such things be come part of the cache creation page, there are some websites that provide icon code to give more details at a glance.
