I launched one of my 9 travel bugs on April 13th of 2003 and named it Island Nedra.
It made its way around Wisconsin, Iowa and Illinois until someone picked it up at a Chicago Picnic event and took it to Cozumel in Mexico (Finally an Island).

I received a note in late 2003 that the cache in Cozumel had been vandelized and items inside were destroyed and the cache trashed and then archived. Sadly the travel bug was gone.

I just wrote this off as another lost travel bug until this week when it showed up in Iowa almost 1 1/2 years later. The bear that was attached to it was gone but the ring on the tag, which was distintive, was still attached. The cacher in Iowa contacted me and asked if I would like the tag back and mailed it to me at their own expense.

Kind of a neat story for those who have travel bugs out there in never never land.

Today Island Nedra should start again in Magic Squares (yeah I got the math done).
