      I’m south of Atlanta for a week of business but had the afternoon free today. I introduced two coworkers to geocaching, giving them each a GPS and heading to two conventional caches within walking distance of the hotel here in Peachtree city. Did I mention that the sky was clear and the temperature was 73 degrees? Walking in our shirtsleeves ( remember doing that?) we found a couple caches after I casually spotten them and gave them some encouragement to look smarter. One thing about the area, everyone has a golf cart! Seems like hiking is not the thing to do. Hopefully I’ll find time to log a few more Georgia caches this week. In the mean time, I’d appreciate someone shoveling the snow out of my driveway back home!

          I have a friend that lives in Peachtree City. The nice thing about those golf carts is not that it cuts down on walking, but on driving their cars. The parks, grocery stores and other shopping places are connected by a series of trails that are used by pedestrians, bikes and golf carts. I was impressed! (But not enough to move to Georgia.)

              To hop on the gloating bandwagon, temperatures were in the upper 60s with sunshine every day we were in the mountains of Washington last week. What’s up with Wisconsin, anyway? It’s time for spring to get here.

                One of the guys where i work up here predicted the ice won’t come off the lakes until mid may this year……I sure as heck hope he’s wrong

                  Hey! What d’ya say we all shovel the snow from our driveways — I know of a nice, unused driveway (the gloating sbukosky) that could use a nice pile!
