I was reading thru all the info about the board and see that many positions are thru til 2007 and a few up thru 2006. I understand you have to be nominated for a position but how is the best way to let other board members know you are interested?? Just wait til the new year then let one know??? I would think it would be difficult if no one knows you and could vouch you are a prospect. I know it’s a ways off yet before a position opens, but just wondering!!

    Fu,
It is great to see that you have an interest. It energy, enthusiasm and commitment such as yours that makes good board members. It is probably not too soon to start thinking about running. You will need some popular support, at least two WGA members need to nominate and second your nomination to get on the slate. The process is detailed in our byLaws (check the “About Us” link on our home page). We will be electing/reelecting 4 board members in February. Start putting your platform together.

Thanks T&TB!! I just love this sport and have a few ideas I’ll be elaborating on in the near future. I’m a huge advocate for environmental awareness……right down to the “soap” I use! Guess I’ll just have to drop a few hints come January, to a few of my favorite Mambers @ Large

I must have lead a sheltered life. I had no idea until Mole started singing:

Little bunny Fu-fu, hoppin’ though the forest,
Scoopin’ up the field mice and BOPpin’ ’em on the head.

~ Along came the good fairy, and she said: ~
“Little bunny Fu-fu, I don’t want to see you Scoopin’ up the field mice and boppin’ them on the head. I’ll give you three chances to change your ways.”

    So the next day . . . [Repeat-two more chances . . . ]
    So the next day . . . [Repeat-one more chance . . . ]
So the next day . . . [Repeat]

“I gave you three chances to change your ways, and now I’m turning you into goon. (Poof!) And the moral of this story is . . . ‘Hare today and goon tomorrow.’

No more bunny Fu-fu, hoppin’ through the forest . . .

Needless to say I couldn’t stop laughing, especially since Mole is animated when she sings.
