Why is it that Cachers, who generally are a very honest group of people, can justify taking Jeep TB’s and other Collectable type Geocoins…. ie. Moun10Bile from Caches, and keep them for their own Geocaching collections? They try to justify their actions by saying, “If I don’t keep it, the next cacher to come along will keep it” These are wrong behaviors!! Besides the fact that these items are NOT for your taking, it also limits the opportunities for other cachers to log finds for these items as well.
I agree! I’m still annoyed that my very fist TB is missing. If anyone sees a little mouse by the name of Tut-Tut wandering around… please help him to a cache nearby.
I’m not sure, but it seems like 4 may have been looted from a cache of mine in one fell swoop! I sure hope that they all show up. I sent an e-mail to one of the last cachers that didn’t trade a bug along with the travel bug how to page.
It can be frustrating when you get some bug looters come by.
Right with ya DD. I guess these ppl think the Special TB’s, such as the JEEPs are going to be worth something down the road. Sure, maybe in like 50 yrs, but come on already!!
If I don’t have a TB to trade out I at least move it on as quickly as I can, like Bingo TB. I contacted the owners (2 lil gals) and asked if I could take it on vacation to get fun pics, as they wanted their TB to do! DD helped too, taking it to Florida, then meeting us in VA. I had a riot and hubby got in on it too. The girls were so excited to see all the pics we took and their dad wrote a really nice letter back to us.
Bingo TB even picked up lil souvenirs for the girls, which I sent out. It was great fun and I’d go well out of my way to do that for other kids.
Soooooo LEAVE the DARN TB’s alone or MOVE `EM ON. Think about keepin’ `em….and Da Fu will BOP ya one!!
Anybody seen a rubber chicken originally placed at Pike Powder Hike?
I normally have a layed-back attitude about my TBs, but this one bugs me. I mean it disappeared out of its first cache! And I placed it there to commemorate our 200th find. Alot of people were at that cache that day due to the nearby event – did anyone see it??
