Hi all,
I’m looking to do a day trip from the south suburbs of Chicago and need some help. Anyone know of an easy river that is canoeable? Looking for a caching/conoe trip south of Milwaukee and east of Madison. Any help?
Jake
BTW I have a couple White Jeeps that just make the trip with me…….
I think you are on the wrong website.
But, I would be happy to help. Check out my new site at http://www.wi-paddlers.net
the easiest river in that area is the little fox. but there aren’t any caches on it. there are however, caches in mukwonage, and that is near the put in for canoes (on hwy 83)
a couple hundred miles southeast near North Manchester in Wabash Co., Indiana on the Eel River between Laketon and RoAnn there are about 5 to 6 cashes you can find along the river. The eel is a easy canoeing river as long as it is not in flood stage. Too Far?

Hey, you geocachers that are a caneist or kayakers, that http://www.wi-paddrs.net looks pretty good. I am glad I checked out the cahses around the Eel as I like to do both as well as geocaching. I am a transplant from Green Bay to Indiana. I like your message board. I hope you don’t mind me trespassing. I don’t want to take a beating when I come back every year to visit relatives.
