Since so many geocachers are signed up to attend the 8/25 picnic at Lapham Peak, we’re going to use that opportunity to hold an informal meeting to discuss a draft of a proposed geocaching policy for Wisconsin state parks. That meeting will be held at the Homestead Hollow shelter in Lapham Peak State Park starting about 5:30 or 6 p.m. depending on when the picnic announcements and awarding of prizes are completed.

During our recent meeting in Madison, the DNR asked Brian(GrouseTales) and me to submit a proposed geocaching policy from geocachers’ point of view. We want to give all Wisconsin geocachers opportunity to give their input. We’ll have copies of our first draft available at the meeting. As soon as we have it available we will also post a link so you can view it online, so keep watching this forum topic.
