Last summer I remember going on this site to see all that I missed by not attending last year’s campout. I remember watching somebody’s digital home movies on this site somewhere. Someone had uploaded clips of registration, caching, awards, etc… Does anyone know where that is? I’d like to take a look again to get all excited for this year’s campout (yep, we’re going!!!!)

    Jeff,

I think the videos you’re looking for have been tucked away in one of the Albums in the “Photos” section of this site…

    Try this:

    Great… found ’em….

Quick question… Are “MRE’s” required table fare at the campout?

Looked like a lot of fun last year. Looking forward to coming out this year…

Thanks for noticing the video clips. I put those together last year but until now I never knew if anyone actualy viewed them.

I hope that this year we can shoot enough footage to make a commemorative video to share with others.

I have a spare video camera that I thought might be fun to pass around to different cachers. Much like the disposable cameras you find at wedding receptions

kbraband! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for taking all of that footage. We didn’t go to last year’s campout so it was nice to see all that we missed (and we missed a lot).

Trudy – We also have a digital camcorder so we will be taking some footage and uploading it to the website too!

    Thanks!

You can count us in for our digital camcorder and digital camera that takes mpgs too!
It would be fun to put together a DVD of the event afterwards from everyone’s footage.

It would be really cool to gather people’s video footage and digital images and produce a commemorative DVD.

If someone is willing to do the editing I would burn all of my digital footage onto a DVD (already chaptered) and send it to that individual.

If no one else is interested in volunteering(and people can wait until mid-summer) I would be willing to try and edit it on my computer and make the commemoritive DVD. I’m no wizard at the editing but I could give it a try. I’m a teacher who is off this summer…

I have video editing equipment, however it’s easiest for me to import footage from 8mm tape or digi 8. If on DVD, I can dump it onto digi8 to work on it. Maybe we can makes copies of everyone’s footage while still at the campout.

Sounds good to me GrouseTails… I can just dump my footage directly to you on Sunday….

    PERFECT!!!!

If you plan to video tape, bring your A/V patch cords. Hopefully we can connect our cameras together so I can get a copy of your footage. I have a cord for mine, but everyone may have a different setup.

Take plenty of footage. We would love to get quality video of people actually caching, looking for caches, finding caches, and all apsects of the campout. It would be better to have lots of footage and eliminate some, then to not have enough.

I’ll be filming all of it… from the moment we pull into the state park! (maybe even before – at McDonald’s in Seymour…)

Cords are packed. It’s all pretty standardized. We should be able to dump the footage quickly on Sunday a.m.
