My parents wanted me to post about how impressed they were with the March on Washington DC event. Mom did all the caches with me & Dad came along on about half and they were both very impressed with the hides.
Most importantly, they were VERY impressed with all of the WGA present. Everyone was so nice and welcoming and they had a great time! They commented that it was like one big family.
Based on this event,Mom is really seriously considering creating her own geocaching account too…..
Keep it up guys!

My dad joined me for Grousetales Northwoods Breakfast event last fall. I think at the time he thought we were all a little nuts. (Although that might have been a symptom of hearing some of Lil Otter’s stories)
After taking them on a 200 mile caching spree this summer, my Mom & Dad just last week bought their first GPS.
I also just got an e-mail from an Aunt (retired) in Arizona asking about GPS units and caching.
It’s all too awesome how this sport can attract people of all ages and backgrounds. When I started caching, I assumed it was all college-aged kids. I have learned a lot since then!
Think about where we would be if not for the WGA members and this website. All I can say is THANK YOU!
I am glad they had a good time at the event. Hope to see them on the trail soon.

I remember meeting your mom at the March On Washington DC Event. We met at the bridge, I gave her a big hug and told her what a wonderful daughter she raised. “Welcome to our family, mom.” Tami
I think it’s really cool that you could get your parents to an event and your mon down to Racine last weekend. I keep trying to get my two brothers to join me, but no luck. I did actually get my son out with me last Sunday, and what’s more incredible is that I’ve even taken my FORMER mother-in-law with me on one occasion.
