I came upon a plastic container brand I’ve never seen before (maybe I lead too sheltered of a life) … saw it at a cache called “Marsh Madness” in Sheboygan. The container has a click-shut latch on all four sides of the lid and a rubber gasket on the lid rim similar to that of an ammo box. I think the correct name on the product was “Lock N Lock” … but google searches also find “Lock’n Lock”, “Lock and Lock” or “Lock & Lock”. Looks like Target has it on their website … the other website shows it pretty well: http://www.organize-everything.com/loandlostco8.html

Lock and Lock containers are very sweet. Very durable and do lock well.. We have some for our kitchen and am planning on gettng some for caches. They are alittle pricie burgers, but they are well worth it. I know for fact that Walmart has them in the tuperware isle.

I have one out in the field right now, unfortunately it is a cache which I do not expect to get winter traffic. I’ll report back in the spring if it handled the elements well though.

I have three out in the field. One has already made it through a winter. It isn’t a frequently visited cache so the locks haven’t had to be opened a closed a lot, but it has survived and I’ve never had a damp cache complaint on it.
