Team Purpleartichoke is pondering hosting an event late July or early August. Is there any interest and are there any dates not posted on the event calendar we should be aware of?
Event would be held in Menomonee Falls (a northwestern Milwaukee suburb) and will most likely include food and beer.
Talk amongst yourselves. Discuss.
The annual WGA picnic is held in August, usually mid-month or the 3rd weekend of the month.
I would suggest you hold off on a final date, until it’s announced FOR SURE when the WGA Picnic is. As that date could change based on availablily of a park … as there’s just so many places they can fit that many people, they will be at the mercy of availability.
Besides, you can’t get your event page approved until 3 months or less before your event date … it’s one of the event approval rules.
I understand what you’re saying and that’s why I’m asking now about any possible events. I don’t want to plan something only to find it’s the same weekend as a WGA event or the day somebody else in the area is planning an event.
I’m well aware of the 3-month cache page rule.
We also have to fit it in when our park has the pavilion open. If it’s August, it’s August. If not, we’ll do it before the end of the year.
