    Hi all,

Going to northern part of Milwaukee, (north of the E-W freeway) on Thursday AM to cache with a friend.

I’d appreciate any info on “GOOD” caches in that area. Looking specifically for “GOOD”, micro’s, 2 stage multi’s and regular caches in the general area +/- 20-25 miles. Would like to try for 8-10 caches and will not have time for long duration puzzle caches. Don’t mind if they are tough, just not horribly time consuming.

Any of your input would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Bob seekers8711

Thinking about downtown Milwaukee and a search area of about 10 miles around it, here are a few of our favorites. We’ve introduced some new cachers to the sport with these:

    “Wat’er You looking for” — GC363A; a two-part multi with a unique 1st part
His Last Trip — GC75A3; a nice virtual
The Ghost Train series — many individual caches in a series that combines some nice readings; you can walk from point to point (a little long, but nice) or drive between them

    Have fun!

They may be on the outer limits of 25 miles from Milwaukee, but if you’re looking for a private hiking experience, one of the nicest spots in the area is Pleasant Valley Nature Park, where you’ll find this cache and 3 others: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=a805f0f0-8f8e-41ca-9199-bd9be4695b51

Thanks kbraband for linking to one of my caches at Pleasant Valley.
I would recommend ALL the caches in that park … especially one of kbraband’s that is one of the caches that originally hooked us on geocaching, because his cache is a great hide in an amazing jungle like setting this time of year: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=e4827a09-b4b4-45ba-b878-dc9c053fcd41

If you like a park with a variety of terrain and various vegetation settings … come north and check it out.

Seekers: There are several caches in the Granville dog park hid by GR8eyes that I recommend, see:GCP6FN. There is also a series of 3 caches in a park called behind the barn by lego lover, see:GCRZWH. 😛

😀 Thanks to the bunch with the great suggestions for cache sites. I have made notes and will communicate with my buddy tonight to see how much time he has.

    Thanks again.
