We’ll the “EnergySaver” family and Vince Condella, just got done dodging the rain drops at Harrington Beach State Park for the last couple hours.
If you need pointers on what it’s like to hide a geocache, tune in to the Fox 6 Weather segment during the 9pm news on Wednesday, July 5th. (Date is pretty firm, but if it changes I will post the change.)
When we were getting ready to leave the parking lot and head into the woods, I asked him if we should bring our umbrellas and Vince said “I don’t know!” 😯 … for those of you the know me well, I couldn’t let that get by without some teasing 🙄

The article is for sure airing tonight (7/5) during the 9pm channel 6 News.
Vince emailed me to indicate that it will MOST LIKELY be AROUND 9:30pm.Shall be interesting to see what they’ve done, as it’s difficult for me to tell how “complete” the explanation of hiding caches will be, as I suspect there will be lots of gaps filled in with voice-overs.
07/05/2006 at 9:00 pm #1763003Opps … Vince just emailed me now that they’re set for 9:15 … maybe you should just watch all the news, it’s good for you any way.
It’s also being promoted on the Fox 6 website now … plus a teaser about the release of the July cache … and no, I don’t know where it is (not my department).
07/06/2006 at 2:21 am #1763004I just watched the feature story on the EnergySaver family on FOX 6 about hiding geocaches. Vince did a great job as usual.
07/06/2006 at 2:45 am #1763005The FOX 6 July geocache is now posted online. Go figure….it’s a puzzle/mystery cache!
07/06/2006 at 10:26 pm #1763006😀 My neighbor and I – the Fugowies team, were FTF on this new cache! We figured out the puzzle in the car and initially had the coordinates wrong and were crawling around on the ground in the dark! YIKES. Finally found it where I would not have expected it – I think it will be discovered by noncachers there… It was one of the most fun and stressful I have done – we felt like we were on Treasure Hunter’s trying to figure out the clues before someone else pulled in and got it first. Thanks to Mr. MagOO for minding the computer at home and giving us some of the answers over the cell to get the coordinates! 😀

Yup… On last night’s news, Vince said it had been stolen. He hasn’t decided if it will be rehidden or if that’s it until August.
07/10/2006 at 1:31 pm #1763008Searched for it yesterday evening around 8:00pm while Waukesha, Milwaukee, Racine and Kenosha counties were getting pounded by rain. Was surprised to see where ground zero was. An open, treeless playground area with no good hiding spots for an ammo box. Apparently you forgot to mention something very important about hiding a cache Ron. 😳 🙄 😆 😉
07/12/2006 at 2:55 pm #1763009I knew I forgot something 😮 That’s what they get for “editing” me 😮
07/14/2006 at 12:54 am #1763010😀 I see Johnny found the new cache on Tuesday! Think it’ll last in its new location?
Team 1316…and Daisy 😉
07/17/2006 at 2:22 pm #1763011When I found it, the replacement container was put in the same location as the original. It has since been moved to a more muggle-proof area. Be sure to see the updated puzzle to calculate the latest coordinates. http://www.fox6milwaukee.com
