I agree…that one ROCKS! Mind if I use it?
09/07/2006 at 4:41 pm #1765224I love Cheesehead Dave’s new logo!
09/07/2006 at 5:06 pm #176522509/07/2006 at 5:10 pm #1765226I like Cheesehead Dave’s logo. Lets get it on the web sight.
09/07/2006 at 5:58 pm #1765227I wouldn’t use it as an “official” WGA logo, but if you want to scrutinize it, here it is in a few sizes:
Small:
Medium:
Large:
09/07/2006 at 6:17 pm #1765228It doesn’t seem to spin, blink or change … but I like it too!

I like it a lot… could this be the new WGA logo we’ve been talking about for some time? 🙂 It would take a Board vote to change the current logo to this one… so for now this logo will only be available from Dave’s site.
The only issue I have with it is the readability of the “Wisconsin Geocaching Association” text at the medium size and smaller. Maybe with a different, less bold and condensed font (or somehow splitting the text onto multiple lines) we could make it more clear at a small size that would be suitable for the upper left of the website.
And I’m not sure if it would look better or worse with a connecting green line at the top of the big ‘G’… I would want to see it both ways.

That will clear up the logo as it is resized.

I concur. This is only a suggestion on my part. Others may come up with something better. Anyway, it’s not official, so don’t use this!

That’s partly because I just resized the image instead of redoing the text in a smaller font. I agree though, it’s hard to read at a smaller size. That’s why I left it off the “small” version altogether.

I did it that way on purpose. The “G” is meant to be transparent so if you put it on a t-shirt or something, the “G” would become the color of the shirt:
Here it is with a line on the top and bottom:

It was vector when I resized it. The Impact font just doesn’t look very good at small sizes.
09/07/2006 at 8:50 pm #1765233I really like Dave’s logo, it is very nice looking and not too “busy.”
Maybe you could have a competition to have members come up with logo designs and submit them to the eboard, giving you many options to choose from. You could maybe give a free t shirt with the new logo on it to the winner or something like that.
