Hey all, one of our own has suffered a cache related injury, which is all my fault. I posted first under congratulations, but thought it might be more appropriate here.
I went caching with Da Bloodhound Sunday, and we had a great day. It was my first chance to cache with him and we found some great places. Unfortunatley, we chose to climb a little rock pile in search of a cache, and he slipped on an unstable rock, tearing his achilles tendon. We spent the rest of the afternoon in the local ER, and he is probably going to be off the trails for awhile as a result. The cache was the Bunny Trail, on the campus of UW-Platteville, http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=1baa4994-cda0-40f8-b698-f99571556083
Anyway, I dont think he reads these forums often, but if ya think of it, ya might want to send a get-well email to him through gc.com or at his email addy, which is: docsfarm
Thanks,
zuma
Ouch! At least a medical professional was there to assist you after the fall. 😉 And way to “play hurt” and grab this cache and one more on the way to the ER.
Rest and recover Gary… the caches will still be there when you are back to 100%.
And here I thought I was the only clumsy one. In June I fell and tore my tendon. I’ve just now gotten back to caching; only the ones easy to get to. Here’s to Bloodhound, hoping they heel fast.
Get better soon Bloodhound!! I know it will take a while but soon you will be on the trails again!
Soon enough he will be able to get the rest a Devils lake. Get well soon.
Ouch man, I feel for you. Thats a painfull injury. You should be healed just in time for the winter caches I have planned this year in Kenosha/Racine/Walworth counties.
Get well soon!
Gee. Sorry to hear about that. I nearly did that myself a couple of times. Here’s to a speedy recovery.
