I don’t know if this fits in with your schedule, but a group from MN is planning on tackling The Gauntlet on 11/12. See their meet/greet event cache and MnGCA forum for more info.
I might be interested. Was also thinking about the MN event. I think I would rather do it before November though. Geez it was snowing a little here tonight and I’m in SE WI. Granted the Dells isn’t that far away. Still it can get cold in mid November. Don’t know if I want to be climbing around on those rocks in below freezing conditions. I need to do more research on the area and plan a strategy for the attack. From what I read I don’t want to go the low route. Plus I prefer to take on the physical challenge of the cliffs. What are your thoughts at this point??

I don’t know; a good freeze might make the low road more passable and make the cliff faces more dangerous. Bright side, the freeze will keep the bugs down (of course parkas will do that too) and make the buckthorn sting worse… WOn’t have the heat to contend with though. Lucky you!!! Still think I am dehydrated… I am serious about the freeze and the low road though.

I’m not going to be able to do the gauntlet this time. Now I’ll have to wait for spring.A good freeze might or might not help lol

Ooooh, leave me your GPSr! Lord knows the 1942 Philco Problematic can use replacement.
Well Rogheff if I leave you my GPSr you will have to come to the Gauntlet and find my bones. The GPSr will be in good shape, however may need new batteries by the time you get there. 😯
Wrap up some money in a plastic bag so he can buy new batteries.

Money for batteries? GPSr’s use batteries now? Will the technical advancements never stop? The 1942 Philco Problematic has a hand crank. I attached a windmill a couple of years ago, but it doesn’t help much in the trees.
If you’re leaving me money for batteries, just mail it to me here at home. Remember, I’ll need lots and lots and lots of batteries over my lifetime. A couple thousand dollars should do the trick.
I suppose I could put you as the benificiary for my 401K. That should at least get you a new GPSr and 4 sets of batteries. 🙄
Now we are talking. Do you have any old girlfriends you could leave rogheff as well?
I have lotsof old girlfriends. Keyword OLD. I think Rogheff probably wants young girlfriends though I don’t think his Wife would agree. 🙄
