On the main page of Geocaching.com they are offering a free TB tag. The cause is to bring awareness through TB about Diabetes. My family has been affected by Diabetes and I encourage all to sign up for a free tag. There are only 20,000 tags so sign up soon.
12/05/2006 at 1:48 pm #1767309I saw this last night, and signed up for mine.
12/05/2006 at 4:43 pm #1767310I signed up too, my grandfather was diagnosed about the same time the Alzhiemer’s had just started to affect him.
And i had a good friend of mine who is diabetic
So i support this big time! i also signed the petition and sent the website to family and friends.12/05/2006 at 5:50 pm #1767311I thought it was interesting that gc.com has a new corporate sponsor (besides Jeep). Merck has never been particularly strong in the diabetes pharmaceutical market. However, it has a new drug, Januvia (which is in a new class of diabetes medications), which is being launched now after recently getting FDA approval.
Perhaps we will get some Viagra travel bugs before too long! 😀
12/05/2006 at 6:04 pm #1767312I signed up for mine too. I am diabetic so I encourage you all to sign up for one, and to consider making a small donation to the American Diabetes Association
They are getting close to a cure, and have improved treatment ten fold in the last 20 years. Any amount is fine… ANY!
Happy Holidays to all.
12/05/2006 at 9:05 pm #1767313I signed up for mine and will have two kids I know who have diabetes follow it. I hope that I get one… 😀
12/05/2006 at 10:03 pm #1767314After an episode last spring I promised myself I would not do travelbugs coins or any other traveler. Guess I lied. Have signed up.
12/06/2006 at 1:46 am #1767315Sounds like a good program to raise awarenesss. We signed up too.
12/06/2006 at 1:58 am #1767316Signed petition and chance for a TB yesterday, my nephew has had diabetes for 14 years, hoping for that cure too! Viagra TB? Oh My! 😳
12/06/2006 at 3:04 am #1767317I signed up yesterday; this looks like a great awareness campaign! 8)
12/06/2006 at 3:38 am #1767318I just told a co-worker about this and got all excited as he is diabetic.
We may have another cacher among us soon. He wanted to check it out for himself.

Thanks for adding the link. It is a very worthy cause.
12/06/2006 at 5:46 pm #1767320Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I don’t know of anyone who hasn’t somehow been touched by this disease.
12/07/2006 at 2:56 pm #1767321Ordered ours, we’ll see if we made the cutoff. My grandfather had severe diabetes, my grandmother too, and my mother manages without injections. Hope we get one.
12/07/2006 at 2:59 pm #1767322I requested mine also.
I am hypoglycemic secondary to PCOS. Luckly I can control it with eathing and oral meds. Hopefully I can cut my chances for additional problems in the future.
