Is anyone in our area that we know are active cachers involved in this event scheduled for March-May in Rhinelander, St. Germain and Boulder Junction?
Timberline Echoes12/09/2006 at 3:43 pm #1767450Could you Provide a link for this event? Please?
12/09/2006 at 8:43 pm #1767451I do not think they have created a link yet… We have our info from a newspaper article. I did call the Rhinelander Chamber today and hopefully will be hooking up with the lady in charge of the event on Monday. It is unclear if the people putting it on have any idea what they are doing… or if the gal I talked to today was just unclear. She kept wanting to explain to me what geocaching was. She finaly understood that we wanted to help with the event so will keep ya all updated as soon as I know what is going on. I will provide a link as soon as I find out if there is one.

12/11/2006 at 2:06 am #1767453So, do you now know what geocaching is all about?
12/11/2006 at 2:12 am #1767454Yeah let us know when it is this will be a great reason to escape to Sugar Camp for a few days!!!
12/21/2006 at 6:48 pm #1767455Just received a little more info. The gal we were told to contact no longer works for the chamber in Rhinelander. Talked to someone else who is now in charge and she is meeting with the marketing comittee today and will be sending us more info on meetings etc. next week.
Timberline Echoes12/29/2006 at 2:33 am #1767456The first meeting to organize this event will be held Jan. 9th at 10 a.m. in Boulder Junction Community Center. It is the very first meeting to Plan the execution of the caching grant… anyone interested is welcome to come.
If you need more info contact Trisha
tgaffron at rhinelanderchamber.com01/10/2007 at 8:47 pm #1767457How did the meeting go? I had relatives in the area tell me some very vague info about it. Probably read the same article.
01/11/2007 at 1:35 am #1767458I recieved an e-mail from two stand about the meeting and he said it went well. I think he posted about it in another forum. We were unable to make this meeting as Cathy had her dad in the hospital getting a heart cath done as pre-op for open heart surgery on Jan 29. and was in Wausau all day and most of the evening.

My mom emailed it to me today asking if I had a free weekend available. Don’t know how to link to it but it is an ADMAIL, Wisconsin Travel Best Bets Spring 2007, Volume 1. It is a very nice promo.
06/19/2007 at 2:04 am #1767462I noticed on one of the cache pages at least, it said the event runs through june 1. The website says june30. I hope the latter is correct, but can anyone confirm this? A couple cachers on the way this weekend.
Thanks08/07/2007 at 2:00 pm #1767463I enjoyed many of the caches involved withe “NW Treasure Hunt.” I wish I would have kept my shapes from the caches. Some I had a on a sheet and some were missing. Thanks for placing the caches .
