      Over the past few years we have seen an increasing amount of damage being done to evergreen trees that have been used as hiding spots for geocaches.

      Please take care when placing caches in evergreens as well as when searching for caches in evergreens. Most of the damage we have seen has been in green or blue spruce trees but, other species are just as fragile. Remember that the boughs only bend so far before they snap. 😥

      I’d add Arborvitae to that list as well. They’re nice because they’re dense, but damage can occur. Watch for damage and move the cache accordingly.
