Hello,
This message applies to both activated and unactivated coins for only these three coin series listed below. We have already been in contact with our clients about these coins:
– Nomex personal geocoin
– Zuma and Jesse personal geocoin
– Brady Bunch Boys personal geocoinDetails:
We have discovered an error with duplicate tracking numbers etched on some of these listed coins that are the same tracking numbers etched on some of the other personal coins listed above.Unactivated coins:
If you have one of these three listed coins in your possession or come across one that is supposed to be unactivated, please enter the tracking number at geocaching.com and read the instructions listed on the coin’s page about how to have this problem fixed and receive a new unactivated coin.Activated coins:
If you have already activated the coin without any difficulties, then no action is needed on your part. We are sending an information email to your Geocaching.com account explaining the details. If you find one of these coins, and it is activated to a different coin than intended, please contact [email protected] so we can provide you with instructions on how to receive a replacement coin.
We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. We are thankful for your help in rectifying this situation and keeping the sound integrity of the geocoin tracking system.
Thank you,
The CoinsAndPins.com staff.
02/03/2007 at 1:38 pm #1769686I have a travel bug tag with this problem too.
05/25/2007 at 1:44 am #1769687I sent in a Zuma and Jesse coin when this announcement came out and haven’t heard anything back. Has anybody else sent in a coin and received anything?

Hi OPS,
Check with WI Robin on this. She has dealt with them.

05/25/2007 at 5:08 am #1769689I did receive a phone call from Aaron at Coins and Pins. They started production on replacement coins last week. It usually takes about 3 weeks to complete the process. The good news is they where able to retrieve all except 5 of the coins that had the duplicate numbers so most of the Zuma and Jesse coins will be fine. If you want to check your coin just try to track your coin. If you have already activated it, it’s all good. If you have not activated it and when you check it the number comes up as unactivated you are fine. If when you enter the tracking number and it comes up as a coin that is not a Zuma and Jesse, you need to send your coin in for replacement. I will post here when the replacement coins have been finished.

Put in some e-mails to see what happens next. Tami
07/04/2007 at 3:36 pm #1769691We received a new Zuma and Jesse coin along with a 2007 Compass Rose coin (as compensation for shipping costs for sending in the Zuma coin with duplicate tracking numbers) in the mail yesterday.
Thanks to Robin for her work in helping to solve this problem and to Coins and Pins for working to make things right.
