I will be in Wisconsin Dells over this next holiday weekend. I am looking for suggestions for some must-find caches in this area. I am particularly looking for kid-friendly caches. I hope to get the family out of the chlorine atmosphere for some fresh air for a little while.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!02/13/2007 at 6:53 am #1770208This one GC9E5E is on our to do list and looks really cool for everyone.

GC7C34 is a very old, easy to find cache, almost a park and grab, but it highlights the real Dells, with interesting rock formations. Not a well maintained cache, but a great place.
GCHZJW is an excellent multi, which takes you right down to the Wisconsin River where the Ducks go, and along some great dells. Will take ya 30 minutes or so from start to finish.
GC79B3 is a short walk at a wayside, tucked in amongs all the neon and fakery of what the Dells is, and is quite close to the various attractions. Great view, and quite close to the tourist attractions of the Dells. This one is kid friendly in the sense that kids will love it. It is quite safe, but you will want to keep an eye on the kiddies here, since it is on a rock wall.
GCPBR5 is a park and grab, but very close to the main attractions, and a good place for a picnic to boot.
GCPAGQ is another quick park and grab, but will take ya to a place that kids will like, and is free, which is rare in the dells.
Any of the above would be a short break from the Dells attractions. If you want a lil longer walk in the woods, there are several good caches in Mirror Lake State Park.

GCRAKV I thought this was a nice spot as well, So much that I DNF’d so I could hit it again.
GCJMT2 Is a nice MUlti and a place to fill up with some good water.
The others that I’d recommend were in State Natural Areas and are no longer active.

We found all 6 of the caches we had time for. My kids wanted to get back to the waterpark so we didn’t attempt more. Dam Pretty View #1 was our family’s favorite today. -
