I had a very nice chat with the local DNR Land Manger who I have worked with in the past. He said that he attended a meeting with other mangers and he said the Geocaching is getting to be very big. He said that the other mangers have been getting a lot of notification forms.

I ask if there where any problems brought up and he said there were none. He said everyone was on board about geocaching in the State.

He said there were many going out and looking for caches now. That could be a good or bad thing, but I’d say it good. He said that the feeling with his group of mangers was that it land open to the public and everyone should be able to use it. No. I did not get into SNL’s or whatever they are called.

I asked him about a DNR canoe landing that is just outside of town and across the street form his office and said that there would be no problem about it even thou it is on the Scenic River way cuz it DNR property and was also told by an official of the NPS that it would be OK to place one there..

So there you have it gang! You work with them, they’ll work with you!

I’m thinking that this was a meeting of the northern area mangers but have no idea really. All I can say that there has been very good cooperation and relationship between geocachers and the DNR “UP NORTH”!
