Going to be heading to Sheboygan for a conference this weekend any suggestions on some really good caches out that way. Would be appreciated.

While its not an huntable cache per se, there is always Wisconsin’s Geocaching Holy of Holies….

It is a beautiful area, I’ve been there a couple of times, though not yet in the winter.

I’ve only done a couple in Sheboygan but being a diver I really liked “Lottie Cooper Sails Again” Its the remains of a wood schooner they dug up a number of years ago when re-doing some of the piers. I was fortunate enough to be there shortly after they dug it up (talk about a stink!) and hadn’t seen it since.

It says available in winter, I think that would depend on how much snow they’ve gotten. The others I’ve done are Miata’s Workers Paradise and Goat Island X, would also be difficult depending on how much snow.If you

If you come from the west on 23, Trialhead Cache – is a quick snatch and grab. I found it w/o a handheld gps (ran out of juice).

We can heartily recommend the virtual GCH58F, located in the Kohler Art Museum. We lived in Sheboygan for 4 years but never made it inside this place until hunting this cache. After getting the required information, be sure to take a tour of the bathrooms (seriously!). Definitely a one of a kind experience. Just ask at the desk for directions to all the bathrooms and check it out.

😆 I don’t know that I’d call a cache that was never found, never maintained then abandonded by its owner “holy.”

Our favorite Sheboygan cache is this one: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx?LUID=61f0c396-baae-4e21-aaea-acd55445fff6

I can help you out on this, about 1/3 of our caching happens in Sheboygan and nearby Sheboygan Falls … we tend to stick with the more scenic / woodsy caches, here’s our picks …

GCXTVZ … an easy cache, but a cool place to stroll around (can be moist).

GCY195 … a very funny mystery cache (but read logs of others for hints)

GCR2D9 … make sure you walk the tunnel under I-43 after finding this one.

GCV8V8 … speaking of tunnels, this ones on the other side of it, so do it right after the prior one.

GCG0HJ … if your up for challenging terrain (big time), give this one a try.

    GCXYMR … a fun multi.

Thanks for all the great selections.
