I found an Easter coin egg in one of my caches on a maintenance check when I went out for a walk tonight. I found the blue and yellow sparkly version, anyone else finding these around? Who made them?

It seems that Emily’s cache II and Emily’s cache V were also hit by the geocoin bunny and nobody has claimed the eggs yet.

Yep we drove 62 miles round trip and beat the rain and found the one at GCWMJK. It was a blue and yellow one.

I was in Jefferson and had to see if there was still an egg (in Emily’s II). Well, there was one. I really like Easter, and this made a nice little early birthday present.

    Thank you Easter Bunny!

(also the blue & yellow variety here.)

We wanted one badly, but the trip would be well over 120 miles round trip.

Just couldnt do it with the little guy, and I dont think they would be there when we arrived anyways.

It appears that nobody has picked up the egg from Emily’s cache V in Helenville yet.

After two days and the coin was still there we went the 80 miles RT and picked it up. Not for us but for a fellow cacher and it will be delivered on Saturday.

Crud – I drove by there twice this week. I didn’t realize it was the Helenville one.

I didn’t think the Easter Bunny would approve someone doing that, I drove by several times also to and from work and left the coin for someone else since I already found one. I have lots of geocaching friends that would have enjoyed the coin.

We were heading up the next AM for it… it turned out to be schematics.

Please, no ill will towards VG’s – believe me, we would have been out that first night had our little guy not been sleeping.

I dont want to see anyone hurt for a good gesture – so please go easy on them! They did a nice thing – our little guy’s Bday is Easter, and we’ve been following the bunny around!

I will explain myself here, not the GC forums, because I feel that my fellow cachers in Wisconsin would hopefully understand. We were informed of the three drops of the coins on Tuesday night. We left our house and drove 62 miles round trip for ONE egg at 10:30 at night. Now we could have easily grabbed all three eggs (from what I can see from the posts) on that night and not let them sit at all. We did not. We left the egg sit till Thursday night. Now if anyone was following the Easter Geocoin Bunny they should have known that the egg was there. We have been following the ECB’s travels along with the Geocoin Secret Agent and his drops of coins. We felt that if the coin was still there TWO days later then it would be OK to get it for another cacher. We did not grab it to sell or keep. We were asked to get the coin and we actually waited to see if it would be picked up first. If we wanted to we could have just went to the cache and grabbed it and not told anyone or logged the find. We did not feel right about doing that and that is why we posted and logged the find, here and in the GC forums about what we did.
If anyone feels that we did wrong and if we offended anyone then we are sorry. We tried to do the right thing by waiting for the egg to be found.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and lets just cache on if we can.

I’m not trying to be hard on anyone on here and I appreciate the honesty in the post, my only point was that I personally feel that each geocacher should only pick up one egg, I’m not the geocoin bunny and I don’t know who it is, maybe that person could clarify what they want done with their egg coins. I’m just grateful that I was able to grab one coin for my collection.

I thought it was awesome that someone went out of their way to make someone elses day. I appreciated their honesty in their post. They could have chosen to keep it quiet but they did not. Cache on, it is only a coin ..
I wish I would be lucky enough to find one since we are working hard on planning our up coming classes this weekend but ..
    Enjoy!
