Today while on a job site i came across a little park that I’ve seen in the past. But today for the first time i thought to myself this little park could use a cache if it doesn’t already have one.. Then i spy a .50 cal ammo can. Just sitting on a cement base of a High power line? My first thought was is this a geocache? So I went to inspect it there were no markings on the container claiming it was a geocache! So i picked it up and rattled it to see if it would blow up in my face and it didn’t so being noisy i opened it up and all it contained was some water.
So my thoughts are do you think somebody would place a container like object just to cause a uproar about geocaching? I mean under a power line in a city park. Not trying to hide it at all.
After work i walked back to this park and it was still there so i decided that it should be removed to prevent bad press for geo-cachers and that i could find a better place and hide it.

You did the right thing. Now get out there and place it in a good spot, so we all have another cache to find.

Ok I’m really reaching here. I can not think of why someone would place 1/2 filed ammo can under power lines.

Common sense for placement seems to rule out the spot you found it. I saw a magnetic “DANGER” sign on a power transmission tower once with a log on the back. That was acceptable in my mind but the box should be a no-no there.
Rehide soon as Zuma needs more FTFs for his list. LOL
