Kudos to CoastieGirl for here excellent presentation to the City of Manitowoc Parks Committee tonight at the Manitowoc City Hall. She impressed the Parks Department people about the positive aspects of geocaching, and established good links with the local geocaching community with the Parks Department, and won approval for her CITO event by the City.

She was very well prepared, had excellent handouts (I was lucky enough to “borrow” a copy for potential future use), and answered several questions about geocaching from the Parks Committee all in ways that left the Parks oversight committee with a very favorable impression of geocaching in general.

Geopink, BunnyFuFu, Mark54140, k0rpl, and myself were there to offer moral support, and we were all impressed with how she handled the meeting.

Kudos to Coastie!!!!! I do not think there will be problems with the Manitowoc Parks Department for a long time.
