Trackable Items from 2006 – What does this mean

I was looking at the WGA 2006 Geo-campout and noticed that there were quite a few trackable items still log into the event. Does this mean these items all went missing at the event since they were not logged out again?

Nope. While events seem to eat trackables from time to time, the random sampling I looked at are just owners not having logged out the coins they brought to the event. Some of them have fairly recent discover logs. There might be a couple missing, but most of them will end up moving along eventually.

When I bring a few coins to events for people to discover, I like to leave them in the event inventory instead of moving it back to my own inventory. With the number of coins I have, that list would be excruciatingly long if they were all on my page. Eventually those coins will get moved to another event.

If the event host asks, I will move them out, but that has happened only once. Usually, the hosts don’t care – it doesn’t affect their ability to archive the event.

Some people will put their coins into their own archived caches between events. But I don’t like this as it falsifies the coin’s history. If the event owner doesn’t care, then it is easiest for me to just leave them there for a while.
