This past Weekend I tackled the P.I.T.C. (Pain In The Cache) series in Kettle Moraine State Forest Southern Unit. This is an awesome 5 part series consisting of 4 Multi caches that have the needed info in each of the finals to find the Final of the series. These Multi’s are geared towards testing the abilities of a cacher. The series consists of:
    Pain in the Cache – Multiplication (P. I. T. C. M)
Pain in the Cache – Navigation
    Pain in the Cache – Reception (P. I. T. C. R.)
Pain in the Cache – Elevation (P.I.T.C.E.)
    and the Final
Pain in the Cache – The Resolution (P.I.T.C.T.R)

This was alot of fun and lots of hiking through all sorts of varied terrain. Most of them are located off of the Ice Age Trail and offer great scenery along the way.
I would highly suggest that if you are ever in the area or looking for a challenging series to check it out.

There is other great caches around the area as well. I haven’t been able to complete them all yet.

One I did do that was neat was It’s All In The View. Nice hike up a decent hill and a neat view. It is located just off of the Ice Age Trail near the Whitewater East campground. Oh, BTW the first WP of “Pain in the Cache – Multiplication (P. I. T. C. M)” is also located near the campground. As a matter of fact I believe you could get a campsite within a few hundred of the first WP. My site happened to be on the other end of the campground and I was .17 miles away.

This was a good one! I did it too. Although, I still need to finish Navigation. 😳

We are currently working on that Series. Finished Navigation last weekend, still have Elevation and the Final to do. So far we think its a great series and really have enjoyed the long hikes. Good luck with Navigation, we put WP2 back in place, but all WPs are there and dry!
