Just noticed this one today: http://www.geodistance.com/

This site displays a standard google map (including the ability to switch to satellite view) and lets you enter a route by clicking to add legs along the route. It displays the distance of the route, which I realize a lot of mapping programs already do. But since it’s web-based, it also lets you save your route so you can share it with others. For example, here’s the bike route for the recent triathlon in Lake Mills:

The site is geared towared runners and bikers, but I can think of some geocaching applications, e.g. if people wanted to publish their best caching days (so the mortals among us can figure out how people get 30, 40 or more in a day!), or if people wanted to publish the route that a multi takes (to let people know what they are getting into for example).

    Doug
