If you’re going to be around Forest Park in St. Louis, expect lots of traffic… it’s the same weekend as the Great Forest Park Balloon Race.

I spend a large amount of time in Ontario and the surrounding area each summer. Unfortunately my fiance is in a weddding that weekend. I’m sure she wouldn’t understand if I wasn’t there. I wish I could go, I missed the last event for the same reason.

Love this area and it’s not far from home, but…..I host a storytelling retreat that same weekend in Lansing Iowa. Too bad, wish I could do that Calvin and Hobbes transmogrification thing and be in both places at once!

For those who haven’t been down here already and don’t have conflicts, it’s well worth the trip. There are 8 permanent caches in that park (that we still have to find) and many others up and down the Kickapoo Valley. Bring your canoes or kayaks for this one!

Nice date for the picnic. We are off and will make the road trip. We rode the Harley through the Mountain two years ago and it was a blast. Great choice for the location.

Would like to, but not quite sure yet. That’s two weeks after school starts here and I don’t know what the kids schedules will be as far as sports or any other activities go. Will update you as soon as I can.
